Grey-scaled photographic images or detailed vector artwork can be used to engrave your ‘tech’.

On anodized aluminum (like the Nano, Power book, Mac book Pro, iphone, and ipod Mini) the laser will remove the anodized coating to reveal the raw aluminum.

On stainless steel (most iPods other than minis), the laser fuses a special treatment to produce a sharp black contrast to the polished stainless steel.

On plastics (most laptops and mobile phones) the top layer is removed to reveal the layer below, which is usually a lighter color.
