Manolo jewellry is an independent jewellry label run by Marta Chojnacka who’s pieces are stocked in the likes of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Saatchi gallery and the V&A.
Laser engraving from digitalized hand drawings
Marta’s jewellry pieces merge hand craft with the more technical process of laser engraving. Drawings are drafted with inks & pencils then scanned into the computer. The drawings are then converted to vectors and made ready for the laser.
Marta also hand makes her own engraving veneers by applying gold & colour paint to walnut sheets. The artwork is then engraved into the material to reveal the walnut below. Such a simple idea but so effective!
