This award winning architecture practice designs buildings inspired by the evolution and mutation of building types in today’s cities, projecting these forms into spatial solutions.

Beautiful building design brought to life with the laser cut model

This rather detailed model was made from; 1.5mm birch plywood, 0.8mm birch plywood and 1mm acrylic. We used a combination of laser cutting and vector engraving to add subtle details to the cut pieces.

Protective low-tack tape was also used to prevent any burn marks on the plywood surface. The pieces were taped up in the boards the drawings were cut from in a flat pack format, ready to be popped out and assembled in their studio. The model was exhibited at the Architecture Association to celebrate Series Young Architect of the year award.
